The Western Canada Prospect Series was first held in 2022 with three teams participating in the event: BC, Alberta, and Manitoba. They played a series of games with the goal of being identified for the Baseball Canada Cup the following summer. In 2023, much of the same will be happening with the addition of Team Saskatchewan. The Team Alberta roster will be announced following the 16U Rawlings Cup Showcase Tournament.
