2022 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

All scholarship applications will be opened September 1st and close September 30th.  Baseball Alberta offers a list of scholarships that will be presented at the 2022 Baseball Alberta Awards.

 

Gordie Wilson Memorial Award - $300

Award is presented to a player in the 15U category who has demonstrated leadership and athletic abilities in the sport of baseball to financially assist the individual to attend a baseball development camp.

Doris Taylor Scholarship - $1,000

This scholarship is presented for post secondary studies to an athlete who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance, community service and strong athletic abilities as a baseball player with Baseball Alberta.

Bob White Memorial Scholarship - $1,000

This scholarship is presented annually for post secondary studies to an athlete who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance, good sportsmanship, community service and strong athletic abilities as a baseball player with Baseball Alberta.

Carl Linden Scholarship Bursary - $2,700

Awarded annually to the Baseball Alberta player, male or female, who best exemplifies the qualities of hard work, perseverance, and dedication to the game of baseball. It is specifically designed for those players who have progressed through Baseball Alberta's "grass roots" programs, showing heart and hustle while overcoming obstacles in order to play the game.

Ron Hayter Bursary - $5,000 X 3

This bursary is presented by the Edmonton International Baseball Foundation to encourage players with Baseball Alberta to pursue college or university studies with the ultimate objective of obtaining a degree.

Millie Warwick McAuley/Betty Carveth Dunn Bursary - $5,000

This bursary is presented annually to female players registered with Baseball Alberta who are excellent athletes pursuing a university/college degree.
