Baseball Alberta Game of the Week Recap - 15U AAA St. Albert Cardinals vs. Fort McMurray Oil Giants

On Saturday June 1st we highlighted our 3rd Game of the Week, the 15U AAA St. Albert Cardinals taking on the Fort McMurray Oil Giants.

Logan Kowaluk got the first run on a 2-2 count, starting off the Cardinals. The Cardinals used their strong offense and went on to get six more runs in the third inning, with RBIs from Aiden Paterson, Josh Hutchinson, Logan Kowaluk, Eric Machej, Caedyn Colford, and Jaiden Kneller.

Carter Liske kept the Cardinals on their feet for five innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out seven and walking one.

Ryan Rice took the mound for the Oil Giants, lasting one inning and allowing three hits and three runs with one strikeout. Junior Demaltin and Storm Burns came in subsequently, pitching one and two-thirds of an inning and one and one-thirds of an inning.

The Cardinals followed by getting 12 more hits, with Machej, Hutchinson and Kowaluk hitting multiple.

The Oil Giants got one run from Vance Timmers putting them on the board in the fourth inning.

The Cardinals went the whole game without any errors, winning the game 18-1.
